Sue Beck takes new position with Paulding County Hospital Foudnation

Tuesday, July 01, 2008

Many may know Sue Beck as a phlebotomist, working in the laboratory at Paulding County Hospital for over 35 years.  Sue retired from this position last year but has recently agreed to take on the position of Director of Development for the Paulding County Hospital Foundation.  The Foundation is an independent not-for-profit public charity responsible for raising philanthropic contributions to support the hospital in improving the health and well being of residents in our communities. One of the main functions of the Foundation  is to encourage and support young students in the county in choosing a healthcare career.  In 2008, a recipient from each of the three area school districts received a $1000 scholarship in a healthcare career field of their choosing.

Sue’s position will require her to meet with area organizations and leadership to inform them of the Foundation and exactly what their goals and mission are.  Sue said this of her new position,” I am excited to work with such a worthy cause and I am passionate about helping young people in the area find fulfillment in working in healthcare.  I am here as a resource to help the people of Paulding County learn more about the Paulding County Hospital Foundation and what it can do.”

Sue will be working at the hospital and can be contacted at 419-399-1129.
