In an emergency, seconds count. The team at Paulding County Hospital is ready 24 hours a day to treat a wide variety of emergency medical situations.
Our emergency physicians, nurses and clinicians are supported by dedicated professionals in cardio-pulmonary services, radiology, laboratory, and surgery. All of our ER physician and nursing staff are required to have ACLS and PALS certification.
A new program has been added to our Emergency Room. PCH is now a member of the Stroke Care Now Network. If a patient comes into the ER and appears to have the symptoms of a stroke, there is expert help just seconds away. With our specialized video equipment, a neurologist in Fort Wayne can immediately observe the patient for certain signs and symptoms and can assist the ER physician in immediately diagnosing a stroke. If treatment has been initiated within three hours of onset of a stroke, most strokes can be reversed.
