My PCH: Family Health Day

Every year Paulding County Hospital hosts Family Health Day. Usually held on the second Saturday of June, this event is held to encourage the residents of our service area to improve their health status. Many health displays and interactive activities are available from the hospital and various community health services.

The main appeal for residents is the hugely discounted blood tests that are offered at the event. Many people choose to participate in the Family Health Day blood draws because they do not have insurance or they have very high deductible. Many people just want to keep an eye on their blood values. Often physicians will recommend that their patients take part in the event so they can save some money but still obtain valuable health information.
