Paulding County Hospital and Antwerp Regional Medical Center fitness centers reopening

Paulding County Hospital Fitness Center and Antwerp Regional Medical Center Fitness Center will both reopen beginning on Tuesday, May 26 at noon. Additional guidelines have been put in place at both facilities to remain compliant with Ohio Department of Health Responsible RestartOhio Guidelines. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The guidelines are as follows:

  • Paulding County Hospital and Antwerp Regional Health Center Fitness Centers will reopen on Tuesday, May 26 at noon, and will remain open until 10:00 p.m.
    • Both facilities will then resume regular operating hours on Wednesday, May 27 (5:00 am-10:00 pm; 24/7).
  • All patrons entering the facilities during regular operating hours will be required to go through a screening process. Self-monitoring prior to arrival is required.
    • All patrons utilizing the fitness center outside of regular clinic operating hours, will be required to self-monitor.
      • This is to be completed prior to arrival and all patrons must document their temperature.
  • Social distancing guidelines will be enforced within both facilities to remain compliant with Ohio Department of Health guidelines.
    • Both facilities are sectioned off and equipment has been spaced out to allow for 6 ft between patrons. Please help us maintain the 6 ft social distancing guidelines.
  • Upon entering Paulding County Hospital and any clinic location, a mask is required to be worn. Please remember to bring your mask from home.
    • Once you are inside the fitness center, we highly encourage you to continue to wear a face mask. We are not requiring that you wear a mask inside the fitness center at this time, it is optional.
  • Each patron will be required to wipe down all equipment they use prior to and after using each piece of equipment.
    • Follow the cleaning instructions inside the facility. Please do not spray cleaner directly onto the equipment.
  • No more than a maximum of 15 individuals will be allowed in the Paulding County Hospital Fitness Center at one time.
    • Please be mindful of your time spent within the fitness center as others may be waiting to use the fitness facilities.
    • If the maximum number of occupants are already inside the fitness center, we ask that you not wait inside the hospital to use the fitness center. Please see the individual at the front entrance for further direction.
  • No more than a maximum of 6 individuals will be allowed in the Antwerp Regional Fitness Center at one time.
    • Please be mindful of your time within the facility as others may be waiting to use the fitness facilities.
    • If the maximum number of occupants are already inside the facility, we ask that you not wait inside the clinic to use the fitness center.

Self-Monitoring Guidelines

If you have any of the symptoms listed below, you are not to enter either fitness center for exercise purposes.

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever above 100.4
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • In contact with an individual that is positive or suspected positive of COVID-19

We appreciate the countless hours spent sewing cloth masks, creating face shields, fabricating intubation boxes to help protect our staff.

Paulding County Hospital Respiratory Clinic Open to the Public

Paulding County Hospital has opened its Respiratory Clinic to the public.

The clinic is staffed Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Individuals can call the clinic at 419-399-1163 to schedule an appointment. The clinic will evaluate and treat individuals with any respiratory illnesses that may be related to COVID-19. PCH Respiratory Clinic has the capability to test for respiratory illnesses and is also equipped with a portable x-ray machine if imaging is required.

Paulding County Hospital Respiratory Clinic is conveniently located on the grounds of the main hospital campus, in the building adjacent to the Emergency Department. Many individuals who become infected with COVID-19 are able to recover at home, while 25% of individuals may need additional treatment, after initially being seen by a provider. Paulding County Hospital is here to assist the community in both areas.

Prevention Starts With You

STAY HOME – Social distancing will help curve the spread of COVID-19. Even if you are feeling healthy.

STAY SAFE – Wash hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes. Stay home if you are feeling ill.

STAY AWARE – Reputable sources – cdc.gov/coronavirus, coronavirus.ohio.gov or your local health department

STAY CALM – No need to panic, hoard or listen to rumors. We will all get through this together!

Paulding County Hospital Implementing NEW Visitor Restrictions

Paulding County Hospital (PCH) has been operating under visitor restrictions for several weeks. These restrictions have been increased at this time to further protect our patients, staff, and community.

PCH Medical/Surgical Unit and Emergency Department will now be allowing zero visitors into the facility. However, there are special circumstances that will be considered.

These include the following: patients under the age of 18, hospice patients, individuals who may have difficulty communicating with medical staff, and individuals with special needs provided by a caregiver.

Screening procedures currently taking place at Paulding County Hospital and its clinic locations will continue to occur upon entering any one of the facilities.

Help us continue to help you, please share the symptoms you are experiencing by calling prior to your arrival or upon entering any of our facilities. As per the CDC recommendations, we are asking anyone entering one of our facilities to please wear a mask. Additionally, we are encouraging all patients entering the facility for a scheduled appointment or testing to come alone. If an individual accompanies a patient to assist, we are encouraging them not to wait inside the facility until the appointment/testing is complete.

Paulding County Hospital will keep you informed of any additional changes made to our hospital or any of our clinic locations.
